Hurricane Preparedness
What you need to know
Dear Residents,
Planning helps to safeguard lives and property, as well as relieve anxiety as a storm approaches. The best time to plan how you will secure your property, assemble your disaster kit, and where you will ride out the storm is before hurricane season begins. Residents are urged to develop a disaster preparedness plan before an emergency strikes. Plan where you will stay, how you will get there, and what supplies you will take.
✅ Be Prepared:
Stay informed through local news and official alerts.
Know your evacuation zone and route in case you need to leave quickly.
Update your emergency kit with water, food, medications, flashlights, and important documents.
🏠 Secure Your Home:
Bring in loose outdoor items.
Trim trees and clear drains.
Review your insurance coverage.
🚗 Plan Ahead:
Keep your gas tank full.
Have a plan for pets.
Charge phones and power banks.
Preparation now means less stress later.
Stay Safe,

Community Garage Sales
June 7th 8am-2pm
November 8th 8am-2pm
Signs will be provided and ads posted on social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Next Door)
We will be coming around the night before with complimentary sale aprons, cash boxes, price labels, and a yard sign.
If you wish to participate in the sale, please send Tonya Woodham and Sandra Carpenter a message via the Contacts Page with your name and address.
A few helpful suggestions and things to consider:
If you don't want people in your garage, please move everything out to your driveway and place chairs across the opening of your garage.
Make sure you have at least $50 in 1's and 5's. If your sale has a lot of big ticket items, you may want to start with $100.
Keep a cash box hidden during the sale.
Have tables set up and items clearly marked. If you have a lot of the same item, then a small sign for a group of items will work instead of marking them individually.
To make things easier, having a table with the same price items also works well. ( $1, $5, $10 tables)
Don't let shoppers use your bathroom! It can be stressful, especially if you have pets or your children inside and can be a huge distraction from your sale. I am checking to see if we can have a port-a-potty delivered to a central location, like on a corner.
Please make sure you have someone available at your sale during the hours of 8am - 2pm, as advertised. If you have any question, or need more helpful hints, please don't hesitate to reach out!
